Saturday, June 8th
The No Sweat, Just Wet Fun Day will be held in Jaycee Park at 1710 South 26th Street in Artesia, New Mexico.

The new location allows us to be in the park 100% of the way. The new course is shorter; only 1.5 miles for the walkers. Runners will go through the course twice for a three mile or 5k run, while bikers get to ride off-road on the back course for a total of six miles.

The shorter course allows everyone to go through the course multiple times after you are finished. There will be food vendors and you can stay and enjoy the course for several hours until we close at 1 PM. This is why we call it a fun day. You can spend the morning going through your favorite water events multiple times, stop to eat and go again.

We hope the new location and shorter route entice many of you to come out that may have been reluctant before. Now all the fun is compacted and close together.

Why do we do it?
Check out the Ride to Meet the Challenge Scholarship page. Read about the hardships these students overcome. The students must submit an essay describing a hardship in their life they had to overcome. The essays are anonymous. We do not know the name of the student who has written it. The board reviews the submissions and select a winner. This year we received 50 essays. The selection process is difficult and we quickly learn to appreciate what these young people have endured. Someone asked if we could give more than one scholarship. The answer is yes if we had the money.
